A piece of art by Serge Nekrassoff. Small Decorative Enamelled Copper Plate. Russian-born artist, Serge Nekrassoff (1895-1995), relocated to Darien, CT in the 1930s where he primarily made enamel works using pewter. By the ’40s, with pewter in short-supply, he turned to copper for a base for his enamel art. This decorative bowl (circa late 1940s) features Nekrassoff’s signature solid color, yello with a white center and splatter pattern throughout. The decorative, beaded copper rim adds a nice contrast to the relatively simple design of the enamel pattern itself. Inscribed ‘Nekrassoff’ signature present to the underside. • Mid-century Nekrassoff design • Made from copper and enamel paint • Measures 6.5"W × 0.5"D × 6.5"H • Features yellow, orange, brown, and copper shades Features: • Mid Century Size: 1940s Enamel on Copper Dish by Condition: Pre-Owned Good
