W.H. Grindley was an earthenware manufacturer in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. They were in business from 1890 to 1991.
This is transferware, which is how the decoration on the piece is described - it's not hand-painted; rather, transferware is a term given to pottery that has had a pattern applied by transferring the print from a copper plate to a specially-sized paper and finally to the pottery body.
I do not know the pattern name; however, see the photos above. The flowers appear to be delicate forget-me-nots, with a blue exterior and a yellow interior. Not all designs include a name; some are assigned numbers. Note the mark on the bottom of the piece signifying the W.H. Grindley maker's mark; but also notice the #30 imprinted into the piece. This is likely the pattern number.
This is a serving bowl, i.e., for vegetables. It has two handles and there are true gold flecks painted onto and around the handles.
This piece is delicate semi-porcelain and has been well cared for over the years.
