Set of Antique Wooden Hand-Crafted Chinese Tea Pot Holder Stand

Hand-crafted in India to be sold in China, these genuine antique pieces are made of wood with a dark stain finish. Originally, these teapot holder stands were used by both pre and post-Ming Chinese to protect their furniture from hot teapots and ring stains; similar to how modern Americans use coasters. These particular pieces date back to the early 1900s (likely 1910s to 1920s). They have survived the journey from China to the US, then the violent persecution of Asian Americans in World War II, and have been stored away until recently. Damage has been repaired to the scratched finish on both items. A small section of the side is missing from the one piece.
