Where We've Traveled:
Trans World Airline (TWA)
Where the heck is TWA? Well TWA is a decommissioned airline that ran from 1930 to 2001 and now has a dedicated museum and preserved airport nearby New York City's still operating JFK airport. The TWA airport is a step back in time, with retro red carpeting, 50's music blasting from the ceiling speakers, and curvy white mid-century modern furniture everywhere you look. How fun and playful! So the suit had to be fun and playful to match the energy. The rooftop pool overlooks the tarmac to JFK airport, so you're able to lounge on the in-water loungers with a cocktail in hand and watch planes take off with completely unobstructured views. This suit was perfect for the retro vibe, as I felt a bit like a pin-up gal and even added funky shades and a silky bandana in my hair. The suit is full coverage bottom and a sweetheart neckline with detachable strap. The padding is sewed in which keeps you feeling secure, especially if you choose to forego the strap. The front of the suit is a ruched fabric to help hide any tummy insecurities. The legs are cut straight across, rather than messing with any unnecessary high-cuts. This suit totally fits the 50s vibe
