audkiss @havenb1 I would love this.. I believe In posh and the women on here. When I first became a member u sokd a curling iron and now I cant get it off. But I follow the rules. I do trade selectively but only through posh that way posh gets their cut.. but I do agree with everything else. Amen sistas.. be blessed everyone!!

katz2 @audkiss @havenb1 Sorry, I do not know the answer to your dilemma . When in doubt always ask Posh Support. When you ask another Posher, you get our opinion and it may not be correct. Posh Support is always the way to go. Let them check your closet and advise you.💕

You know what is funny is that a while back I joined a followers game and i was going thru the "likes" following people when I realized about 100 people later that I was actually UNfollowing people lol I had to go back thru and refollow everyone it was a little embarrassing lol

danystormborn @havenb1 this is GREAT! I will have people share stuff from my closet and they have SO many forbidden items or break so many rules that I don't feel right promoting them! I found one that had over 100 items, and only about 15 of them were items that are ok to sell here! I couldn't even report all of then because my hand started to hurt! Another seller asked me if I was interested in an item I liked, and when I looked through her closet I saw she had hidden A BUNCH of prohibited items under some sold listings. And one of them was an ECIG! I have nothing against those, I smoke one myself, but not only are the highly explosive if not handled properly, you have to be 18 or older to smoke them and someone under 18 could EASILY buy it from her, which is ILLEGAL. Ugh, don't even get me started on "outside payment"

I am with you 100% I am getting ready to clean house and anyone that I'm following who isn't following posh rules will be UNfollowed ! And yes I feel like sharing their closet would be promoting them and I would rather promote a posher who DOES follow the rules!

smartyknickers Hi Haven! I hope you are having a sensational day. Being relatively new to poshmark, I have a question for you! I ran into a situation today where there were two offers on an item of mine. The first offer came through early this morning. I countered it. The second offer came through and hour later, and I countered that one, as well. The first person who made an offer was in the process of purchasing my item, while, simultaneously, the person who made the second offer was attempting to accept my counteroffer. I did not realize that the first offer was in the process of being accepted. I attempted to accept the second offer, but the app would not allow me to. I finally figured out that I needed to reject the second offer, because the first offer was in the process of being purchased. Question #1: is my understanding of the offer/counter offer process correct? 😃 Fast-forward a few minutes. The person who made the second offer is very upset. They left some snarky comments on my listing, directed both to me AND also to the person who made the first offer. They also insinuated that they would "let everybody know", and they would not be shopping "here" anymore. I am not sure if that was a threat to spread rumors to other people that I am not trustworthy... I was only playing by the rules. I apologized profusely, and explained that the first offer was in the process of being purchased while the second offer came in. I could not ethically, or systematically, except the second offer, even if it was for a higher dollar amount. Is there anything else I could have done to avoid this situation? Did I handle it according to posh etiquette? Am I protected against retaliation if the person who made the second offer starts to badmouth me? It didn't matter how much I apologize, or explained that they were inched out by just a few seconds. They were very upset and I'm concerned they may try to take it out on me. havenb1 @smartyknickers rest assured you didn't do anything wrong. The way the "offer" option works is, as soon as you accept an offer or potential buyer accepts your counter offer the listing is marked as sold whether there are active offers/counter offers or not. so if Daisy May offered you $20 for your $100 dress you can either ignore it, counter, or accept, let's say you counter for $50 ....meanwhile I come along and offer you $89 for it, if you accept the $89 it's automatically marked as sold and I would get the sale whether or not Daisy May was going to accept your $50 counter or not. As for this persons threats, always ignore any ugly comments no matter how bad you want to say something back or defend yourself bc other people who read it will see that you are obviously the better more professional person. Posh ladies don't put up with that kind of nonsense anyway so there is nothing she can do to try and ruin you except for ruin herself! You can always report this to Posh. They will look thru the conversation and will be able to see exactly what happened. If she is making threats she will likely be removed. If you ever run in to a disgruntled customer (I promise it doesn't happen much at all but I know it's frustrating) always refer them to Posh support. (Or ignore them if they are unreasonable and contact posh yourself)I hope this helps I only

smartyknickers Oh thank you @havenb1 !!! This definitely helps put my mind at ease. The disgruntled person did not understand the sequence of events, despite my attempts to explain why I could not accept their offer. I was super nice, and kept apologizing, until I disarmed them with kindness and logic. They finally agreed not to slander me. Oh boy. What an experience. I just wanted to make sure that I did not do anything wrong. At the very least, I would like to learn from this situation so I can avoid it in the future. Thank you so much for explaining how the offer/counteroffer process works! It seems like a seller can choose to accept, ignore, reject or counter any offer out there, and the seller does not necessarily have to go with the highest offer on the table.

Honestly I feel like that scenario will help you more than anything bc potential buyers will see how unreasonable she was (and on the day after Christmas!lol!) and see how well you handled things. It shows that you are sincere and very classy and that's the kind of seller people will buy from:) Good job! I had the exact thing happen to me not long ago, sans the drama haha but it made me feel terrible for the other person, I wonder if there is some kind of glitch with the whole offer system, we haven't had it very long. I hope one of your fab dresses get an hp tonight!

smartyknickers @havenb1 , you're an angel. Thank you for your reassurance! Being that this is my first time running into this on poshmark, I just wanted to run it by an experienced person (you, my dear!) and make sure that I played by all the rules. Playing by the rules and delivering excellent customer service are of the utmost importance to me. Even though I was threatened, and made out to be a villain for a minute, I am pretty sure that any level-headed person reading the discussion would see how sincerely apologetic I was, since I had no other choice. I couldn't just revoke someone's purchase because someone else wanted to make an offer. The person who purchases first wins the item. I felt soooo bad... I didn't know there would be so much interest in that particular item, and my hands were tied. I keep telling myself that kindness always wins; it's the only way to go-- in the real world AND in the posh world! YOU are an amazing "big sister" in this community, and I appreciate your help and guidance!!!! XOXO
