Sheer Mesh Silk Áo Dái

Gorgeous Y2K 100% silk áo dài /cheongsam style sheer dress /tunic from Y2K era Beautiful bright blue (medium shade of blue) with floral embroidery in blue, white & green Deep side slit Snap closure on one side Long sleeves Darts in bust The cheongsam is a sheath dress with a high cylindrical collar, side slits and an asymmetrical opening in the front that stretches from the middle of the collar to the armpit and down the side. The opening is traditionally secured with knotted buttons and loops known as hua niu. The Vietnamese áo dài looks similar to the cheongsam as they both consist of a long robe with side splits on both sides of the robe with one of the main difference typically being the height of the side split. Model is wearing it over a loose white tank top and black leather pants. Model normally wears a size 2 or a small. Tag is marked larger but it will fit a small best. Approximate measurements: Pit to pit 19” in flat lay pulls flat to 20” Length 51” Excellent vintage condition except for one mark about 3.5” up from the hem. It may come out with dry cleaning - I have not tried. See last photo. So unique & beautiful.
