Sheila’s Collectibles Dragon House 1891: Denver, Colorado

This signed Sheila house was patterned after a house located in an area of Denver originally known as Wyman's Addition. A typical building lot sold for $50-$100 back in 1890. It is a signed piece dated 1995. There is a little nick on the back of the house on the corner near the porch as indicated in the photos above. It has been lovingly displayed on a shelf in my house for many years. No box. Sheila's Houses are little wooden houses created by the artist Shelia Thompson. Each house is patterned after an actual house in the United States. On the back of the house is the house’s name, location, some history of the house, Sheila’s signature, and when it was made. If it is a limited edition, that will also be noted. Most were made in the 1990’s. They are also known as shelf or ledge sitters. Smoke free, pet free home.
