This example of a Queen Anne-style was built in 1887, by Thomas Otto, after the great fire of 1886 swept the island. The "Artist House" is named for Thomas Otto's son, Gene Otto, a well known Florida artist. Gene and his wife, Anne, were known for making the house into a richly decorated showplace, with elaborate gardens, as well as for their lavish entertaining. Signed & dated 1995.
