Shenango China vintage ceramic oval serving bowl. Unique piece, which is white with matron striping, and a US Army Medical Department insignia. Restaurant ware styling, with a relative thick ceramic. Approximately 10” by 7-1/2”. Approximately 2-3/4” tall. Stamped on bottom with logo, Shenango China, New Castle, PA., USA and what looks like an 89. Good to great vintage condition, with no known chips, cracks or color wear. Some scuffing noted. Moreover there are three areas of glaze chipping on sides, which may be damage (from stacking) or may have occurred as part of the manufacturing process. See photos.
