Beaded lace overlays the sweetheart bodice with illusion sides of this Sherri Hill 50922 sleeveless red dress, creating an illusion Sabrina neckline. This full-length dress with an A-line silhouette showcases an illusion cutout back. An illusion overlay skirt cascades from the back waistline into a sweep train. Was a size 10 and carefully altered to a 4/6 (the lace is stretch and can give as needed). The tucks inside skirt can be let back out according to the seamstress. Worn once for prom.

dawnss9669 @monicapruett411 I’m not great at such things but if you look closely on the pic of the back you may be able to see that the train is very much part of the lace on the lower back. I’ll see if I can send a better up close so you can determine or show a seamstress.

dawnss9669 @happychic444 as in post...it was worn one time to prom and is in wonderful condition...the mannequin photo is a stock picture. The top and rest with actual girl show it as we have it. The bottom close ups were for a woman wanting to see if she could remove the train not to show any damage. Hope that helps.

graceaudrey13 Was the length altered any? And in the alteration, was the excess fabric cut or left to let out? My daughter is between a 4 and 6 so I'm wondering if this could work for her. I know you posted a size chart but since its altered could you provide bust, waist, hip measurement? Length only if you had it shortened. Very seriously interested in this gown. Thanks!

dawnss9669 @graceaudrey13 I’m not a seamstress, did my best. Bust about 35 fabric is stretchy could fill out to 36ish. Waist about 26.5 depends on where it falls beautiful scoop waistline in back. Hips about 37 1/2- 38. In digging at seams I don’t think there’s a ton of room for letting back out even though told it could be. The hip area feels like 3/4 in or so that maybe let out? Length was not messed with I do see extra fabric (about 1-2 inches) inside seam. You can see it’s a 4/6.

graceaudrey13 @dawnss9669 Yes, that helps some. Measurements seem close. I wish she could try it on. That is always the risk of buying online. I sincerely appreciate all of your help. We are still thinking on it. I'm so afraid to get it and it not fit. We are weighing our thoughts. Oh and to answer, my daughter is exactly 5'5". The hip measurement is what I'm mostly unsure about. I feel the bust and waist are ok. She measures right @ 38 if I'm measuring correctly.

The hips have room to let out if need...but if you look in photo...there was too much loose on my daughter and could have been taken in more. I understand. Make an offer. Ready to move it! Would rather that than have it in my closet.

He has been out of work and we didn't think they were going to do her prom, now last minute parents have organized one once the stay home order for covid 19 is lifted. I understand if yiu cant do it. Trust me. But she loves it enough that I will at least offer.

dawnss9669 @graceaudrey13 sorry. With the fees taken out, we would come away with less than $70 for a dress we can get up to $250 or so for a Sherri Hill if we were open for pageants and proms here. So sorry. Wish we were closer and she could try it on. Lucky she’s getting a prom!!!! We just did my daughter’s senior prom in the driveway Saturday. Had fun...made the best of it. Hope you find a perfect dress. 💕

dawnss9669 @joyces28 the top has see through lace by collarbone...the rest is all layered...if you pull in the pix it’s exactly as you see...no see through. We got this so she could wear to a pageant as well but ended up not going...She was for we miss royalty international jr teen so we know dress rules well. If this is for a teen it covers.

dawnss9669 @baileeashford we paid 600 and she wore it the one time for only part of the evening...dinner and grand March...so I’m afraid I’m at the bottom I can go on Poshmark due to the fees they take out...I’ll barely be clearing $100...I have a couple young women that asked locally but they are waiting to hear if they’ll have a prom...and locally it’s listed at $200. Sorry.

dawnss9669 @happychic444 just had hip surgery today so I can’t get exact measurements til I can get up wo nausea🙄. Sorry. It was worn by the girl in the photo for prom one time. She planned to wear it for a national pageant but that system changed its dates. The girl is 5’5” to 5’6” or so and wore 3 inch heels. If you need it shorter...it’s easy to trim up. It’s a stunning dress that pictures can’t capture. Thx for asking...hope that helps until I can add the length measurement.
