Shibori Mokume Hand Dyed Stitched Indigo Maxi Skirt Embroidered Japanese Tie Dye

This skirt was hand dyed in indigo using the Japanese resist method called shibori. I explored the mokume technique with this skirt, creating several running stitches throughout the length of the skirt and then pulling them tight before immersing the skirt in the indigo bath. After dyeing and taking the stitches out I embroidered some silver threads to highlight the bottom area. This hand dyed skirt is a one of a kind creation, created by me. It took several hours of work to get all of the stitches in place before dying it. The brand is Relativity, size 14. No defects noted.
