Like the Vortice, the Mag-1 utilizes a ratcheting wire-loop system for closure and fitment, but the Mag-1’s all-new Micrometric Tecno 3 system employs a magnet in the redesigned clip attached to a steel wire loop (versus nylon on the Vortice) that significantly eases the process of clipping the loop in and tightening it down. Thermoplastic polyurethane straps are used under the loops in both upper arch and lower shin areas to ensure maximum support and snug fit. Both the arch and Achilles areas of the boot use Sidi’s exclusive elastic textile and injection-molded polyurethane comfort panels. Sidi’s shock-absorbing heel cup has been slightly redesigned on the Mag-1, with a smoother inner portion to allow better contact and less marring of bike parts, while still offering excellent impact protection on the back and outer areas. The dual-compound outer sole, nylon inner sole with removable arch support pad, and fiberglass-reinforced plastic toe slider with alloy insert and adjustable air intake are all identical or very similar to the Vortice. .
