Sigfrido Pineda was responsible for influencing Mexican Metalsmiths in the creation of The Mexican Modernism Movement. He grew up in Taxco and the Talleres were his playground. He first worked three years at Los Castillo Workshop. By 1950 he was the Overseer of Enameling at Margot de Taxco's Shop. In 1952 at the age of 23 he opened his own Studio called "Plateros" which was shortly renamed "Sigi". He passed away in 2018.
