inspirejoy @311bombshell the bust measurement is taken pit to pit, & since the shape has a bit of flowiness to it (unlike, for example, a t-shirt), there's a bit more material all around which will give you a little more room (if that makes sense?). The material itself though doesn't have any stretch to it except at the neck & hemline--it's like a chiffon.
