- Pretty, single tea cup in the emblematic English Transferware originating in the 1800s in Staffordshire, England
- Unsure how old this is or whether it’s ironstone, porcelain, or bone china, but it has all the qualities of being a newer piece, such as having a brighter white color, no glaze around the bottom rim, and clearer imagery
- English or French countryside depicted by red detailed stippling, and includes three houses, one being a Tudor, a little stone bridge, three trees, in addition to rolling hills. The top edge of the cup has intricate leaf scrollwork
- Stamped ‘Made in England’ on the bottom, which also signifies that it is made after the 1920s, according to Transferware Collectors Club
- There is some crazing around the handle, which I show in the last photo, and the bottom rim has some scrapes, but otherwise, this has no chips or nicks, and like new
- If you’re looking to replace a tea cup in your collection, or start a collection, you might be interested in this piece
- Great for candlemaking, cottage core decor, French country
