dijoknows @beliza13 I posted more pictures of the underarms. Both tears are in the seam. One side (I think the left is very small).Because the fabric is a heavily embroidered brocade, it looks like a boat load of threads . I hope this helps! This dress is gorgeous … so much detail as Sister Jane is known for.
