It’s built with a soft full grain leather and a white anti-slip rubber sole MATERIAL Our smooth calfskin leather comes from full grain layer, the outermost and most valuable part of leather. It is also the one that undergoes the least processing: any veining is a guarantee of natural quality. This feature ensures that feet breathe more and that shoes last longer. COLOR Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and dark brown coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish. SOLE It’s made with anti-slip rubber, perfect for facing a boat surface; not to mention your everyday life. As the old sailing tradition encourages, the shape of this sole isn’t flat: indeed, it’s got a small heel. CONSTRUCTION It’s like a glove. The tubular moccasin construction is when the upper forms a leather tube that sits on top of the sole.
