Sky Blue Semiprecious Stone and Gold Teardrop Necklace

Teardrop cut of sky blue stone- I believe it’s blue topaz or aquamarine. I think blue topaz as it was a birthday gift and a “December birthstone”. Any experts let me know! At least gold plated circle and chain if not all pure gold. From Landsberg Jewelers in New York.
