taunyaarmstrong @annemaadesigns Absolutely stunning!!!! Wow! I need more sales, I'd purchase it in a heart beat! I collect "studio jewelry" and have always been drawn to geodes & all shapes of quartz! 😊😊

annemaadesigns @taunyaarmstrong Thanks Taunya! I love studio jewelry too. I used to make jewelry with put and polished stones when I started but now pretty much only raw minerals.

taunyaarmstrong @annemaadesigns Oh you are so welcome! I far prefer the raw, rough stones, in their natural glory!! I make jewelry, but it's nothing like this! While I do use coral & clear rock crystal & other semiprecious stones(beads), 90% is vintage, artisan made glass beads, raw brass vintage filigrees, manipulating the filigree into shapes to form settings for large stones. I've wanted to take a metallurgy class for so long. I have such a yearning to work with my hands, but I'm limited as to what I can do within the materials I use. Is this "lost wax" casting? I love the biomorphic fluidity. I would be so happy to learn a new medium. I'm pretty home bound with an illness, so I have a craving to create. I sell vintage costume jewelry in here, one if my passions, and I collect all jewelry, real or not, but so passionate about the pieces which have been wrought by the artists hands, and the "perfect imperfection" which only come from studio jewelry. Perhaps, eventually I will have some sales & I have some of your pieces "saved" so I may be able to purchase. It's simply glorious!!! 🌷🌷🌷

annemaadesigns I love the organic aspect of forming with wax. I make pieces that look like they might have been made by nature. Lost wax serves that purpose and it's gratifying. I'm also fascinated in the metal looking unlike metal and that's something easily done with lost wax. It's therapeutic and meditative to say the least. It has morphed for me since I started. I love the change and always look forward to see where else it takes me. You might try what you find interesting...never know how it will serve you.
