Small 6.5" decorative Japanese porcelain plate made in The Art of Chokin, a traditional Japanese art form of metal engraving originating in the 6th century. These plates were widely used to decorate Buddhist temples. Pheasants are featured in the scene. The plate is gilded in 24 Kt. gold and silver. Used in good condition.
