Smith Redware Liberty Trinket Dish

Excellent Condition - No chips, cracks, or scratches. Signed, dated, and made in Ohio. White dots around the perimeter of the blue base are actually light blue, any other white areas are reflections—impossible to eliminate because of the glaze. What appears to be a scratch on the top of the dish is part of the aging and distressing and it’s under the glaze. Gorgeous, unique, and one of a kind, 5” square Liberty Redware Trinket Dish is cut from a redware slab and draped over a wooden mold until dry. Dish is slip decorated and the front has a rich crackle, aged, and distressed finish. All Smith Redware pieces have a clear lead free glaze and are kiln fired to 1900 degrees.
