Rare Vtg Avon Smithsonian Institution Gellatly Cross Necklace An Italian style painted and champleve-enamel gold tone cross pendant necklace by Avon for the Smithsonian Institute. Signed Avon and Smithsonian on a metal i.d. tag. Necklace features a beautiful cross with highly textured and etched metal designs on both sides and it can be worn with the plain gold side showing or reversed to show off the blue and white enameled cross. The textured goldtone metal chain measures 30 inches long and it closes with lobster claw. The sliding cross pendant measures 2 inches by 2.25 inches. In good vintage condition
