harleygal13 Hi, I'm sorry for the late reply...just now seeing message. It is my opinion that the gold tone is not faded or discolored. It is not overly shiny, but it definitely catches the eye when the light hits it. I hope that helps! I don't really know how to describe it but think that the photos capture its true appearance. I can't say how they will do under everyday wear if getting wet often, etc, but I own several with & without charms in both the gold & regular stainless & they look & feel nice.

harleygal13 🙃 (I ran out of space to type) But anyway, for this price point, they look nice. I have tanned skin-tone & think the gold & silver is flattering...my daughter is fair skinned & she prefers the gold, so it really is just opinion & you know the saying...we all have 1...lol.
