Finally a balaclava that will fit ON TOP of your helmet!! I love to snowboard and some reasons this has become my favorite snowboarding essential : 1. Much safer than wearing a beanie or balaclava underneath your helmet (wearing a layer under your helmet can actually make your helmet way less effective!! It needs to be snug!) 2. Keep super cozy & warm with an extra layer of insulation for your neck and ears - especially for those powder or ultra windy mountain days! This cotton fabric is thick enough to hold your warmth while still lightweight so you won't be too hot throughout the day. 3. Keeps the snow out of your clothing whether its really coming down on a stormy day or if you simply wipe out! ALL BALACLAVAS ARE : 100% sewn by me from upcycled scrap fabric & discarded textiles (unwanted thrift clothing, curtains, blankets, etc.). Even the small -seemingly- unusable pieces of fabric that most would throw away are sewn together to create large quilt like pieces that are then used for the material that will become your balaclava! Woohoo!! Way less waste floating around! It can be a laborious process but it's done with so much love and I find so much joy in the idea of reusing what would otherwise be discarded textiles. Because of this process, every single item is completely unique and induplicable. Wash with like colors, cold or warm water is fine. Air dry flat.
