So sorry if I/we haven't answered questions or responded for a while; I had to have my ENTIRE (!) neck fused (C-2 to C-7).
Part of the surgery was to undo and re-do an unsuccessful fusion of C-4 to C-5 and C-5 to C-6 (as seen in photo 3).
For those of you out there who know about this stuff, the photos speak for themselves;
And for anyone who might not know what you're looking at (ET?), I hope the photos don't creep you out!

@vanyataycoon The original price of this listing is the actual (minimum) cost ($300,000) of this surgery...add that to the botched surgery ($200,000), and to the thyroid cancer/lobectomy ($175,000), along with my 3 days in the hospital from the flu in Jan 2017 ($75,000), and I could have bought a nice house...or moved to Maui...would have been much more pleasant!

@vanyataycoon I've been mostly immobile since a couple of months before the surgery...had to go through injections and extra tests, etc. (which, of course were denied by the insurance company in the first go-round)...apparently the term "cervical spinal instablity" was the magic phrase to fast track me right into surgery...or else be eventually paralyzed...I guess that costs them a lot more...

@jennerator26 Wow, girl my heart is with you. I “ only” broke my C1. By millimeters I wasn’t paralyzed. I had a halo on 3 months, rehab for my body ( other breaks) & PT. I’m s dancer & i am back to work . I’m going to be thinking of you sending you every thought & prayer that you will overcome this. Thank you for showing those X-rays. @jennerator26 We’ll never be exactly the same but you can get much much better & have your life back. I’m still taking care of my knees & stuff, deal with arthritis & other sequelae each day. But I’ve seen miracles thru good Dr,s, hard work, miracles, & time. You’ll be ok. I can’t believe you’ve gone this far. Far stronger & tenacious than average. Hi get ‘em, girl. 🙏🏾

@sarahjjanos @sarahjjanos So happy to hear from a new friend/fellow Posher/neighbor/fellow night owl (we should meet at the actual Nite Owl sometime...which, lol, is not open at night)! This Fun Fusion was at St. Luke’s one year ago 11/20/17. Had a prior fusion 6/16, and thyroidectomy there as well 11/16. Ah, Froedert; reconstructive upper/lower jaw surgery in 1988. Almost kicked the bucket in the ICU...but here I am, meeting you 3 decades later.

Wow your neck looks like mine,I was hit by a car while walking in cross walk.I had a verylarge herniated disc at C5-C6with severe compression of my spinal cord, 3 other disc in my neck were also herniated. I too am fused C2-T1 with a Titanium plate. I now have several bone spurs sticking in the nerve roots coming off my spinal cord & have developed osteoarthritis throughout my spine. I know the pain you have gone thru

I too had to have a thyroidectomy due to several tumors in thyroid, luckily all benign, glandular tissue is very susceptible to tumors when you have had CT & MRI’s, & other X-ray’s directly on your neck. I also now have a herniation at T1-T2 which is right beneath the titanium plate. My last surgery was 2001, lasted 10 hrs, ended up on ventilator 5 days & had mini-stroke affecting my rt. side. In PT for 3 years & got back 90% of rt arm & 65% of rt leg, now walk with forearm crutches.
