Soure Bag

Excellent vintage condition Soure bag from the 40s/50s period.…these special bags were made in NYC, read the details below in this wonderful article written by the Vintage Purse Museum https://vintagepursegallery.blogspot.com/2021/02/special-post-history-of-soure-bag-ny.html This one is in great shape and has been with me for almost 20 years. Many of these have a lot of staining, and the material is breaking down from wear and improper storage. This one is in wonderful shape. There might be a little subtle age staining (on bottom), but nothing really visible or standing out. Beads are looking good too. These bags were handmade, so the beading work is just incredible. Interior looks good too. To note: this bag does not have that plastic/vinyl coating inside. I looked for one without it as i do not care for it, plus it yellows with age and gets sticky. So this bag is rare, as it has the brocade lining!
