This is why I can't fit in my clothes anymore! Working in South Louisiana and I've gained 20 pounds...... This is the blueberry cheesecake and bananas foster snowcones from the Crawfish Boss in Broussard, LA. I wish I could package and ship this awesomeness!!!

elevens @mrsclark3 yes and I think South Louisiana has the best food. I have worked and lived everywhere and the only place I gain weight is here. The food in NYC is fa tastic too, but I can walk it off there.

elevens @kellar100 I worked in South MS for a couple of years. Stayed in Biloxi the first time, pre Katrina and Orange Grove when I went back, post Katrina. I was amazed at how many great places were gone, the restaurants and the beautiful old homes along 90. I drove along 90 from the Bay to Ocean Springs and just cried. It was just so sad. Every time I go through there now, I get off 10 and take 90, and there are still so many empty lots for sale......

kellar100 @elevens Yes that was a horrible Harricane I have lived in picayune Mississippi most of my life I came from Abita Springs Louisiana that horrible thing tore my mobile home apart I lost almost everything we owned it wasn't flooding Thank God it was tornadoes there tore up many homes and businesses in picayune I'm still living in a FEMA mobile home( had no insurance) like a dummy never thinking it would happen to me😔My family and animals came out ok tho that's what I Thank God for!!

elevens @shopahola No, No, No! Bourbon street is great to have fun, but if you want really good food, take the trolly (its like $1.25 per ride) to the garden district and find Magazine street. That area is where the locals go!!!!! However, there is a candy store in the French Quarter called Southern Candy Makers, their chewy pralines are, there are just no words..... Have fun, be careful & if you have any questions, let me know. My son is a chef in NOLA, he knows all the really good places....

If you just hit the steets & go walking, you will see a lot! Just be careful, some areas are dangerous, definately stay out of the 9th ward,

elevens @hotpantsrhoads I wish they had magical fairy dust to make them calorie free so I could go every day!!! These are shaved ice and not made with ice cream. They are called snow cones or snow balls in the south. In other areas they call them shaved ice. They are similiar to Italian Ice

lifeinstiches LOL, tell them to make sugar-free or use sugar-free syrup's? And here they're called well along time ago since we can't find them now snowballs or snow but I know what it is and still yummy mixture together. I am almost to 50 mark so I totally understand the packing on the lbs. if I had that next to me I definitely would be. I used to be tiny &Joke I am never going to get big😳well I was wrong because I jumped 5 sizes in three months😬 but I needed it,just needs to slow it all down now. 😂

elevens @hotpantsrhoads I was tiny too. Never weighed over 100 lbs, unless pregnant. Then, I went through menopause and went from a 0 to a 7 almost overnight Didn't realize it was menopause because I was only 45. After "the chamge" I am in a size 3/4..... I used to be able to eat anything, but I do have to watch what I eat now, which sucks!!!!

lifeinstiches I here you same thing happened to me about the same age that's odd doctor thought it was odd for me to because you usually follow your grandmother and your mother. They didn't go into menopause until late 50s they did a test on me and found out mine is because I have a small pituitary tumor which is why I went into early menopause I still stayed small and actually went down to 80 pounds at one time😳😬 👇🏼

lifeinstiches But I had a gallbladder & lung issue. Both have been taking care of,took me a yr. to put my wgt back on to 105 until the last few mnth. I have jumped to 118 but went to my belly & my butt which makes me still looks small except for the fact that I hide my belly that looks prego 😂 I know 118 is not a lot but it is when you have to start watching after a certain age you know that fun stuff. I went from a 00 to a 7 & have always been between 3-5 even after babies. I wasn't a 7 even then.
