teripinstation @boondoggle 6.5 side to side. 8" front to back. It does have a band so what is done is roll up a bit of the rubber kitchen drawer liner for sizers inside band. It's Sweet, hope it works 4U Thanks -Enjoy!

teripinstation @boondoggle Hi. I just measured myself and we're very close in size. I am a 7 1/4", it's very average and you are close to that. This hat is more like a 7 3/4" which would be way too big! Sorry and Thanks!!
