Staffordshire Pearlware Rare Early c.1820-1837 Songsters Bocage Group #47

Staffordshire pottery c. 1820-1837 with introduction sequence number 47. This very well modelled group, depicts a man playing a flute for a seated lady, whilst she holds the music book. The figures are dressed in 18th Century costume and set upon a grassy mound base. Details: Creator Staffordshire (Manufacturer) Materials and Techniques Pottery,Fired Place of Origin England Date of Manufacture 1820-1837 Decorated in underglaze enamels, and covered in a pearlware glaze. Height – 7.5 ” Width – 3.5” Depth – 3.5” Condition – Repair to missing mossy bocage behind Man. Wear consistent with age with some typical chips. Otherwise faced, hands and most important attributes in very good condition.
