Stangl Pottery Vintage Ashtray Trinket Holder

-Available is a ceramic/pottery ashtray. -Matte glazed finish: named Antique Gold and consisting of brushed gold on a green/aqua body. -Marked on the back as 7” in diameter but actually measure 6.75”. Stands 1” tall. -In good vintage condition. 2 of the stilt marks are unglazed. There is a minute chip on the ashtray edge and a v-shaped scratch in the glaze consistent with age. Scratches are very surface and cannot be felt by touch. No cracks or crazing. There is a small felt pad on the bottom placed there by a previous owner. -Manufacturer’s mark on the bottom with item number 3898-7”. Was made to match a dinnerware pattern circa 1957 called Antique Gold. Stangl was a pottery company that had its origins in Samuel Hill Pottery and Fulper Pottery in New Jersey. The name changed to Stangl Potttery in 1955 and it continued to produce pieces until 1978. It is especially known for dinnerware and bird figurines. -Can be used as an ashtray, trinket dish, underplate for a chunky candle, or a retro decor piece.
