kaelamcguire21 Is this the one we were talking about for my queen quilt?
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 yes. That is the one for the queen size. The sketch was meant to show an idea I had to alternate between having the off whites and blue/gray/greens on the insides and outsides.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches You recommended the size me 3 by 4 of the star patterns correct?
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 it’d be 4x5. Squares are about 22” could technically do 4x4 and get a square one that is both long and wide enough. Or do 4x5 and get an extra long queen.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Could you tell me what the estimated dimensions would be of the two sizes? I am having trouble visualizing.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches I see where I wanted 4x5 already. No reason to second guess. Sorry this one has so many choices I forgot.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches I would like bright white for the white areas shown in the original pattern. I would like the Bella solids cucumber for backing. White for border and left over for binding.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches We talked about double batting. I think that would be nice on our bed. :). I love a quilt feel.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sorry about all the messages. I am going back and forth between the questions and submitting answers. For the shams a pattern fabric front with white ruffle and back would be great. If there is any random pieces of fabric left could you make me a accent pillow (the rectangle kind) any size and I will get the pillow insert. For the shams were you doing standard or king?
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches White shiny thread please.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches oh random thought on the quilting of this pattern could you do it like you did the mountain quilt by following the pattern several times? If that doesn’t make sense let me know.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Could we do a scrappy border instead of binding that lines up with the quilt squares/sections (I don’t know the terminology) and a white border? How do you think that would look?
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 so for the shams. To get two front panels out of one yard of fabric, it would be the standard size, 20”x26”. Would need a little over a yard to get two kings shams (20”x36”), may end having to order two yards to do that bc not all are available to order in half and quarter increments. If there is enough left over, I will make some sort of 12”x24” accent sham
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 for the quilting. It would look good to do straight lines on inside and outside of the printed fabrics that make up the star point. For the white squares in the middle, I’d suggest some sort of free motion quilting. Having two types of quilting like that would make it look a little fancier.
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 for the binding. Just to make sure I’m reading this correctly. You want the border that goes around the main quilt in white, and then the very outside edges (binding) in scrappy style in strips cut from left over layer cake squares?
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 There has to be some type of binding or else the cotton in the middle would be exposed on the edges. I can’t guarantee the scrappy binding would match with the star points or star blocks because they are different dimensions. That won’t be noticeable with the white border in between. I can center it with the length and width of the quilt so the placement will not look random.
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 back to the shams. It looks like most of the yardage in the Dover collection is out of stock. I’m not sure when it will be back. I’d like to get all the other stuff as soon as we get our plan figured out, just because fabric lines get discontinued from time to time. But for the shams, if we have trouble getting yardage in one of the prints you like, we could also do the cucumber solid (like in the back) or the sea breeze solid they have listed as a coordinating solid.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Two types of quilting would be great. Standard shams sounds good. I don’t think we need king ones. After thinking about it they wouldn’t fit on the bed lol.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sorry for the confusion. I switched it an was wondering if you could do the scrappy fabric as the border but have it line up with the squares and then white binding.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Let me look at the yardage real quick. I think we are close to making all the decisions. Yay.
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 scrappy border with white binding is a great idea actually. Not 100% sure if I can get it to line up with the blocks though because the blocks are different dimensions than the layer cake squares and not sure there will be enough if I cut the strips from the layer cakes down to size because more cuts and seams = more waste. I can center them with the length and width though if that idea sounds ok to you.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Maybe have it even or line up at some point? I think it will turn out beautiful.
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches I saw this one quilt where the border stopped at the top of the quilt square and in the corner it was a square before the horizontal border. Did that make since?
Dec 21Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches looks like the Dover tonal dot blue yardage is available. I like that for the shams with white ruffle and back. Would that work?
Dec 21Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 i can line the scrappy border up with the middle seams and work out from there. Squares in the corner is a good idea. I think the squares would look good in white. I think the yardage you picked for the shams will look good.
Dec 22Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Awesome. let me know if there is any other decisions to make.
Dec 22Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I ordered all the fabrics for this quilt. Check out the description and let me know if all the details are correct. That sketch shows my idea to have the star units alternate between having gray/green/blue points with a white print on the inside square and white print points with a gray/green/blue on the inside square. Thoughts? Looks like it’s going to be end of January/early February when I start this one. The Peppa and stars one will be before this one.
Dec 31Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches write up looks accurate. I like the sketch. Have no idea what you are describing about points. Random thought. Could you appliqué an H in the middle of each of the shams in white?
Dec 31Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I can do an h on the middle of the shams So for the points, look at the yellow on the sketch, alternates between yellow inside and yellow outside. Make sense now? It’s hard to explain
Dec 31Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Yes. What fabric does yellow represent?
Dec 31Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches is the sketch considered one square or four?
Dec 31Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 yellow and purple would be the white prints. Green and blue would be the green/blue/gray prints. There are four blocks in the sketch, would be 16 blocks in the quilt. I was just drawing that up to get an idea how my plan to alternate them would look.
Dec 31Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 hey. Just added a photo of a quilt that I put one of my labels on so you can see if it’s something you want added on either of your next two projects.
Jan 11Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches sounds great. I think the tag would look great on this quilt.
Jan 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 just added some pictures of some of the center blocks. There will be half of the center squares with those light prints and the other half with the blue, green, and gray prints. Should have more progress pictures soon.
Feb 11Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches So pretty. I like how light everything is.
Feb 11Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I finished all the inside squares today. Need to make a decision before I start piecing the next part of the blocks. Check out the last two pictures. A - prints on the inside block match the prints on the tips. B - the star has three different prints Both look good. Just depends on what you like.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 Either way, it will alternate: - a star with two color (blue, gray, or green) prints and one off white print - a star with two off white prints and one color (blue, gray, or green) print
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Would all the stars be able to match like the example A? And would all the stars be able to be different patterns like example B?
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches You have done soooo much work!!
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 the center of the stars all use a different print. 8 are off white and 8 are a color. That’s actually the same center in both the examples. We could do them all with the print in the center matching the star tips (A) or use three different prints (B) or, I suppose we could do a combination of A and B. The ones with the off white centers may actually look better to have two color prints in the star points just to keep good contrast with the white
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Can you show me one with an off white center in each example. That may help the decision.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 sure. Checkout the last three pictures I just added. A. Print in the center matches the print on tips of the star B. Uses three different prints C. This is what I was talking about with using two color prints in the star points.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 if you like C. we could do that for the off white centers and do either A. Or B. for the color centers. I don’t think C. would work well with the color center because having two off white prints in the points would not stand out enough, and you wouldn’t see the star as well.
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Thank you for showing the examples. We like the B examples. Three different patterns on the stars. Will any of the stars repeat?
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 some prints will be used more than once throughout all of the stars, but all stars will be a little different since I used 16 different prints for the center sections. I’ll delete all the A photos and the C photo, so I don’t get confused when I’m looking back at all the photos and descriptions for the specs.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 another idea I had, and you have some time to think about this one. For the quilting, lines around the stars with that echoing flower in the white parts. But for the scrappy border and corner squares, the cursive “U’s” up and down the border with the swirls in the white corners. Last picture shows what I’m talking about.
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sounds great. Thank you. I just wouldn’t want two random stars in the whole quilt to be exactly or really close to the same and everything else different. It would drive me bonkers. 🙃
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sorry I missed your last message earlier. I like the Us but not so much the swirls. Is there a different shape that could be done in between the Us like. Flower maybe?
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I can put the echoing flowers in there to match with the rest of the white spaces
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches what is an echoing flower?
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 that’s what I call the flowers in the example picture you had for the flower quilting. I’m not sure if that’s what they are actually called or if there even is a “standard” name for it. Echo quilting just means following along around the lines of some print or design, so I tend to say that with any design that repeats around itself. Sorry I see now that what I said about the flower quilting design doesn’t actually make any sense 😂...
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 maybe floral spirals like I put in the description makes a little more sense. Though, I’m pretty sure that’s not the real name for the design either 😂 So many things have multiple names and people who do tutorials make up their own names for stuff. I make up my own names for stuff when I don’t know what it’s actually called. It is a confusing mess, so always feel free to ask when what I say is nonsense 😂
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches haha too funny. Makes sense now. I think that may look cool.
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches do you have any of the peppa fabric left? I would like a rectangular pillow cover with some of that fabric. :) Random I know.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 what size do you need? I will check when I get home to see how much I have left if that fabric.
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches that rectangular size you typically do for his pillows. He likes to lay on the pillow on his sofa with the blanket and it’s the perfect size pillow. No rush on checking. Just when you have a moment.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 do you want the standard size sham 20”x26”, this is the same size as the camping fabric pillow case that went with the twin quilt. Or the 12”x24” (I think the dinosaur pillow cover I made was this size).
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches 12x24. The dinosaur one and the appliqué one are both ones he uses. So just like that.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 do you want the ruffle to be from the Peppa material or the glow in the dark stars?
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches do you have any white minky?
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I have enough Peppa fabric to do one 12x24 pillow. I have some white minky dot
Feb 12Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Yay! Sounds great.
Feb 12Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 it’ll be $20. I’ll make another listing for it, but how about we bundle it with this star quilt and shams so I can combine the shipping?
Feb 13Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sounds good to me.
Feb 13Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I finished half of the blocks today. Check out the last two pictures of the blocks I’ve done so far.
Feb 14Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches They look beautiful!!
Feb 14Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 update: I have 12 out of 16 blocks assembled. Should be able to get the last four blocks together tomorrow, hopefully by lunch. I’ll post post pictures for layout approval once all blocks are together.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sounds great. Stay safe.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 good morning. I finished up the last star this morning. Now for the layout approval. Checkout the last photo to see how I have them right now. My goal was to keep our alternating between off white centers and gray/green/blue centers and also keep the colors distributed fairly evenly throughout. Let me know what you think. I’ll check this every hour or so to make any changes you want and then post a picture once changes are made.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches sounds good. Looking now.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches will you switch the first star in the 3rd row with the 3rd star in the 3rd row?
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 done. I left the first one up for you to be able to compare. Last one in the listing shows the change you requested.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches switch first row first star with 4th row 3rd star :)
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 could do that, and it does look good (see last picture), but would not keep with the alternating pattern. Up to you, you know if that would bother you or not.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches your right. Please switch back. Once you have switched back a have another idea.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches move third row first star to first row first star.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches then fourth row third star to fourth row first star.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches yes. Thoughts? Let me mull over this one for a minute.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 looks good to me, but you are the one who will be seeing it every day. So, you need to be happy with it. Take your time and let me know if you want me to move more blocks around.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches ok thank you. Will let you know.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches would it be possible to take a picture for a different side or rotate the whole quilt and take a picture?
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 same block order, my vantage point moved 90 degrees. More coming.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches Last three pictures show quilt from all sides. Some angles are tough to get because of the size of that room, but you can still see the the colors of all stars and how they look next to each other.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches thank you for taking all the different angled pictures. It has been almost an hour of us looking at the pictures and I think it’s perfect!!
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 yay! Glad you guys like it! I will go ahead and start sewing the blocks together. Once they are together, it’s much easier for me to rotate them without getting them out of order, so I will take pictures from all four sides so you can decide what side you want as the top side. That way I will know where to put the label on the back.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches ok sounds good. I think we may have gotten use to the first position so that’s probably how we will want it.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 update pictures and decisions. I added eight update photos. First set of four are the quilt top turned all four ways so you can see which side you like best for the top side. It can still be rotated however you want, I just need to know what side is the top for when I go to put the label on the back.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 second set of four show my idea for the scrappy border. The border will not be that wide (about half that width); I just didn’t want to cut anything until I know for sure which pieces I’m using. I know it’s a scrappy border, but I feel like you probably like a little more order rather than completely random. Since the length worked out to needing 10 pieces, I doubled the one in the center and worked my way outward using five prints repeating outward.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I used the color prints on the outsides so that it will be a better contrast with the white blocks that will be in the four corners of the border. To give it a more orderly appearance, I think it would look good to have all four sides of the border be the same, and I should have enough of all those prints to be able to do that. The only one that would be close is the gray with blue flowers on the edges, so if it’s not enough, I use another gray (probably the one with the dots)
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I rotated the quilt in all four directions so you can see how the border looks on all four sides.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Picture 1 (two after the edging design) for the top decision. I like the scrappy design. It’s going to look nice. Instead of going out from the center can you just have it continue? Are you still able to have a square at the corners so it looks a little more orderly?
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 that will work. How about the last picture for the border
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 and yes. White squares in the four corners of the border
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches light pattern in the middle between blue and grey. I think it will work great.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches oh and the pattern on the sides doesn’t have to repeat in the same order. It can be mixed up as long as the color goes in the order. Does that make sense?
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 so I think what you mean is to use a bunch of different prints but keep it gray, light, green, light, blue?
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches yes ma’am. What do you think?
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I think it will look good. I should be able to get border out on tomorrow and then get ready to start quilting it. The quilting will probably take a while though.
Feb 16Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sounds good. Take your time.
Feb 16Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 top is finished! Hopefully you can get an idea of how it looks from the picture. It’s so big that it was hard to get a picture of it. I had to recruit both of my kids to get it. 😂
Feb 17Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Tell your kids thank you. 😋
Feb 17Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 just added a picture of one of the stars outlined. Getting the straight lines out of the way first because they take longer. I’ll add another update once I get to some of the free motion quilting
Feb 22Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 sorry it took so long to get you some more update pictures. I finally finished all those straight lines! I went ahead and did the free motion quilting on a few of the white blocks. Last two pictures show what they will look like front and back.
Mar 01Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches No rush here. It is looking so beautiful. Thank you for the update.
Mar 01Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 yay! I’m so glad you like how it’s turning out! A few things to think about: - what stitch for the binding? - for the shams, do you want an “H” with a more curvey look or all straight lines?
Mar 01Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Ok I will think about the binding stitch. I think a more curvy stitch for the “H” would be nice.
Mar 01Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I didn’t know how curvy you want the “H” to be, so I added some options. You have some time on this one.
Mar 01Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Number 4 looks nice :)
Mar 01Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I did some quilting tonight. Still a lot left to quilt, but that’s enough to give you an idea how it will look. Check out the last two update pictures.
Mar 03Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Looking beautiful!
Mar 03Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 any ideas on what stitch you want for binding? I may be able to get to the point of binding it tomorrow.
Mar 07Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches have you ever done one of the vines stitches like Mode 3 Number 71?
Mar 07Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I have that stitch on the binding of a fall quilt I have in stock. (It’s just not listed here). It’s the last picture if you want to get an idea of how it looks.
Mar 07Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 quilting is done! Gonna work on binding tomorrow
Mar 08Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches very exciting. I actually think I would like to go with Mode 3, stitch 22.
Mar 08Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 sounds good. I’ll do the star stitch
Mar 08Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches is the binding the last step?
Mar 08Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 binding is the last step for the quilt, but I still have to make the two matching shams and the Peppa sham
Mar 08Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Sounds great. Plenty of time. I was just curious.
Mar 08Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I finally finished the quilt and it’s about to go in the washer. First photo in the list shows a little sneak peak of the how it looks finished. More photos coming once I get it out of the laundry.
Mar 09Reply
kaelamcguire21
kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches beautiful excited! Can’t wait to see more photos.
Mar 09Reply
snugglestitches
snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I just added a bunch of new pictures of the quilt now that it’s washed, dried, and crinkled.
Mar 09Reply

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 the “H’s” are cut. The last picture shows them laying on the pillow fabric so you can decide or you want to do white thread or blue thread.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 sounds good. I’m almost finished with the Peppa sham and will work on the appliquéd set next.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches Do you have any left over fabric to make a rectangle strip sham like the dog sham you made us a while ago?

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 i can do that, but since the layer cake squares are only 10”, I would have to put a border around the strips to get it to 12”x24”. I think it would look cute to do a green border and a white ruffle. That would tie in with the backing of the quilt. Which prints do you like best? I will see if I have those.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 could also do white border and white ruffle.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches green border and white ruffle/back would be super cute.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches what about trying to use the green and blue fabrics. I like the blue shown in the 5th picture (flowery). I like the striped fabrics. Just a mixture. I’m sure you will make it look cute.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches How thick do you plan on making the strips?

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 do you want a big strip in the center like the puppy sham, or all same width?
Mar 13Reply

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches All the same width.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I have some of the blue floral, green stripes, and I think it would look good to use some of the dot print I’m using for the shams in there too. Would work out best for the size we need to do 7 strips that are about 3” wide each. I’m thinking the tonal dot blue in middle, then blue floral on each side, then green stripe print on each side, then tonal blue on ends. I’ll lay that out and post a picture.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 last picture shows my idea for the layout. Strip size isn’t exact but just wanted to show the layout idea.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 ok. So it will be $35 for that pillow, and I will shoot for getting everything ready by Tuesday like we talked about. Should be before if I can get a lot done tomorrow.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I worked on the appliqué a little this morning before work, and added a sneak peak of how it will look. Lighting is weird because it was still on the sewing machine but should give you an idea. I did a less dense and more narrow stitch since the cursive letters are more narrow, and I didn’t want it to be all thread.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches I like the sneak peek. Glad you made the stitch not as wide. Looks great.
