Starburst gold tone metal VTG large 3" brooch, Recycled with magnetic-back clasp

Starburst in shape, this gold tone metal vintage brooch is a large 3 inch size. It features clear rhinestone accents in the rays that radiant out from the center. I re-purposed this vintage brooch by wire wrapping faux white pearls and clear crystals around the center and added a new magnetic-back clasp to make it easier to wear. The 5 larger faux white pearls glaze had chipped off over the decades, so I painted those with a matte gold finish. It is 3-dimensional, with the gold tone metal open in design. That means whatever you wear will show under those rays. This is also a heavier weight brooch, due to the size and the many stones, so you won't want to wear it on light silk fabrics. Of course, this is absolutely a one-of-a-kind piece so you know that you are bound to get compliments when you wear it. You will find many times to wear this vintage brooch once you own it. It is the perfect size to use as a center accent for an event-ready dress, simple blazer, blouse, tank top or even tee shirt. There are no fashion police to say rhinestones can't be worn in the daytime. Quality neodymium rare earth Magnetic Fasteners are used on the back of each brooch instead of the traditional pin clasp. Magnetic fasteners will not damage or put holes in your clothing. The magnetic backs are easy to use. With your thumb, PUSH and SLIDE the top magnet off the bottom magnet. (DO NOT try to pull them apart because they are too strong.) Remember to always SLIDE on and off.
