Statement Necklace Egyptian Revival Moth & Snake Golden Malachite-like stone

Make a statement with this Egyptian Revival Aesthetic MOTH and snake Gothic figural ornate goldtone necklace The "Aesthetic Period" (art movement of the late 19th century) brought the bizarre and the strange into the jewelry world and this necklace replicates the way insects were incorporated into jewelry. Egyptian styles and design combined with early art deco origins defined the period. The moth is quite large and it has a green malachite-like stone in the body of the moth that brings out the rich ormolu golden color ( sometimes called Russian gold plate). From the chains above it is a golden snake or serpent. There are 7 chains that hold up this beauty and there are two raised relief urn shaped large beads that are quite beautiful.
