Purchased a few years ago direct form Sterkowski in Warsaw, Poland, as a wearable prop for my Jungle Cruise-inspired tiki bar, this cap was slightly too large for my noggin, so I ordered the correct size, discarding this one into the cap collection bin. Although not “screen correct” to the movie version, I preferred the tan leather model as it will take to dyeing to achieve that weathered look and because, in my opinion, it has a more earthy look that would suit a river boat skipper than a black-billed equivalent, which is something that an ocean-going skipper would most likely wear.
