Often depicted as a flute-playing hunchback, Kokopelli is the god of agriculture, childbirth, and musical spirit. Kokopelli travels from tribe to tribe, seducing with his flute and impregnating young women. Known as a trickster god, Kokopelli - a symbol - is 3000 years old and dates back to the ancient Anasazi. Petroglyphs of him still cover the Southwest, and over the years, Kokopelli has become a symbol for the region.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Light surface scratches on the silver are consistent with the age of this piece. Any darker areas seen the the photography are the result of shadows only. These earrings are brilliant.
