cocoviolette HI these are not fox. They are stone marten skins -my neighbor is the former owner of the I. Magnin and Nordstroms fur salons and he has looked at the add and is sure they are stone marten. He is very reliable. You might like to correct the listing. He is a 3rd Generation Swiss furrier trained in Europe. Also then heads and eyes are not real. They are fabricated. He used to sit at the dining table eating breakfast as a kid while his dad stamped them out and applied the plastic or glass eyes.

cocoviolette I think people are more comfortable knowing the heads are not real. I loved his story of eating cereal while his dad did this!

cocoviolette He says Stone marten for sure - it often appears to be mink he says. He says Some marten is softer as well. I have a jacket made of it and it is very soft. Stone marten was very popular in Europe - maybe not as well known in the US but definitely a nice fur. I did a series of articles on Identifying your vintage furs with him on my blog. The blog was compromised by scammers and I had to take it down to get it fixed. I will be reopening it soon and can let you know if you like so you can read it

cocoviolette I have many furs & he helped me to identify the types so we took photos and used them as examples. I find many listers get the fur types mis-identified so I was trying to help them out. I"d be happy to let you know when it is up again - in a week or 2. It is a fun read and very informative.

cocoviolette OK - I'll notify you when I get it up and running. As for Stone Marten - I feel that the fur in my jacket is very fluffy and full. More so than on my mink stoles - it feels lush
