Striking orange winter turtleneck

Orange ribbed winter vintage turtleneck Large but Medium in the hips Generous fabric flattering the neck I don’t know what the fabric is, I’m guessing, silk or wool This was my mother’s from the 80’s, it had giant shoulder pads and as a maxi it was very overwhelming I cut it down with an expert seamstress to use as a generous turtleneck, I wanted to save this gorgeous orange velvet soft fabric!
