susanmsorenson @irmo3000 Thank you for your interest. The measurement from pit to pit is 23 inches and across the waist at the belt is 20 inches. I added a picture in the listing showing the top spread out, the boat neck and wider sleeves give extra room on the top and lays nicely to add style when the dress is belted and more fitted at the hips. The dress does seem to have a little extra room and not be so form fitting.
