Pictures say it all! Absolutely stunning & filled with all the colors of the rainbow from the precision cutting of the stone. Hold it in the sunlight & the walls will have beams of color. Another ring I bought & never wore so it's in new condition, not a blemish. Box said rhodium plated. I've never had the plating wear off of these rings. Size 8, the stone is 1/2 wide, it's a very, very showy ring with massive sparkle!!!!!

@taunyaarmstrong hi love! This ring reminds me of a ring my mom gave to me in her vintage jewelry when she passed. It was Sterling silver and was never sure what the stone was-but with exception it was stunning and gorgeous. I wish I'd never have sold it. I miss that ring! The person I sold it to-is my posh bestie and I kno is taking cRe of it.

@taunyaarmstrong do you trade? I'd love to do a trade be. I have excellent feedback!

🌷🌷@cherryblast 🌷🌷 Hello lovely! Oh how I know the feeling of letting go of something, & later wishing I hadn't. But, I just always hope the piece has gone to a happy home! I'm sorry I don't do trades. I have too much invested in my pieces & purchase for resale, & unfortunately, have to pay a fortune, that's why I don't have "wiggle room." I don't mark way up, most of the time I may get 20% back, after Posh takes their chunk. Thank you so much for your kindness & interest!! Blessings!🌷

@taunyaarmstrong may I ask the background of this ring, and why/how it's vintage? Please don't take offense in my questions-I have bought items before where the listing said vintage-not thinking to ask person if it truly is only to find out it's not vintage at all. Thank you for your time. You are sweet!

@cherryblast 💕 Oh! I 100% understand your frustration! I've collected vintage jewelry for 41 of my 48 years (God, that number floors me), I'm an absolute fanatic about accurate information & see SO MUCH labeled "vintage" & is not. I've written for vintage jewelry books, authors use my pieces in my private collection, which I don't sell from, photographed to use in their books. (Next message)

@cherryblast 🌷🌷 So it makes me nuts to see incorrect information, but keep my mouth shut. If something is not vintage I always say so because I'd never mislead & am pretty versed in the world haha! I purchased this & two other huge CZ rings in mid 80's & even then, paid small fortune. They weren't being mass produced in China yet. So that's why I can honestly say it is true vintage.

@cherryblast 🌷🌷 you are so sweet. & I hate it when people spend their good money on something which is not correct. If you ever have a question, tag me & just put a "?" & I'll answer, or e-me "tmeow@cox.net" & I'll try to help. I have taught how to age things down to the kind of pin clasp, & have so many Poshers privately ask questions, so feel free! I'd love to help!!💕💕

@cherryblast Hon, if you really like this, I'd love for it to go to a person who would love it, so if you do, we can work something out! There are certain times when I'd be fine with losing some money on something if I know it would be loved. I certainly know how it feels!!!💕💕💕

@cherryblast I promise I'll shut up after this! Vintage & antique terms & age "definitions" have changed. Over the years. Vintage used to mean older than 50 yrs old & antique was 100 yrs. now, vintage technically is counted as 25 years & older, so, vintage spans 40's to 80's. Antique is 1930's & older. So to go by today's guidelines, "vintage" means it has to be at least, 20 yrs old, at the least. So, you can ask if the piece is 20 or older😊.
medievalblonde
@taunyaarmstrong true now people think 10 yrs is vintage lol..
Anyway i like this ring too..very purrrrty;))
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde Uhg. YES! Another thing that infuriates me! Heck, it used to be 59 years was "vintage" then when the costume jewelry became so hot, they moved it to not less than 20 years, but it's actually supposed to be 25. So, people who call things vintage & are 10 yrs old...Ohhh there goes my mouth again!
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde 🌷Since you are more versed in it, I have hundreds of pieces of Sterling that I wear & I definitely know what the junk "nickel silver" is & India etc. I live in a border town, so people go over to Tijuana where the "silver jewelry" venders line are street with thousands of pounds with crap. @medievalblonde I have people who know I buy, sell, make jewelry etc & want me to shine up their "Sterling necklace" or fix clasps of their crap TJ stuff. I try to explain the reality to them, & that yes, the clasp is marked 925 Italy", the clasp IS silver, the chain is not, that's how they are able to say they are selling silver jewelry. If they don't know jewelry, you can't explain it to them. (Next message)

@medievalblonde So, what are your thoughts on these? I know without a doubt they are CZ & not crystal. I do CJ rhinestone restoration for people all over the world, have billions of new Swarocski & jumbo monsters I out up just to look at. I have old Czech glass rings in 925. Any CZ jewelry I've had has always been in Sterling. So, I would t think they would put a high quality CZ in base metal. And I do know they rhodium plate Sterling, but without a mark that I can find, what do you think?
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde it's puzzling. Like I said, the one that I wear has never worn down to a base metal, I definitely know what they look & feel like. You've got me all concerned now, that I may have written the wrong information!😳. Definitely the stones coming out of China are just silver or gold plated, & just heavy lead crystal (which they were not regulating for a long time & lead content was too high to legally be selling.
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde I bought these at Macy's, as I said, back in the 90's, can't remember exact year, in the 92/94 & so I am not concerned with the China aspect playing in. I know they are making some beautiful crystal & looks like CZ. If they were from the last ten years, then I'd question. So it's not often that I get to chat with someone who also knows the full spectrum, I'm who gets the "is this a?" Questions haha! So, now I'm asking you! Help!!
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde I'm sitting here with some gorgeous modernist, studio rings (Sterling silver) & just don't know that I can bear to post them. I'll probably put them in "another" site where I put my studio pieces (the ones I'll let go of😉)
medievalblonde
@taunyaarmstrong yea u are right. The new California prop 69 i think regarding stuff made out of this material cant be sold in that state. Reason i know this is cuz of ss..Suzanne somerz lol. I didnt care i bought it anyway. So it could be crystal or cz but for sure no 925. If u look on hsn .qvc sum jewelry sayz the prop thin
medievalblonde
Those china men are good at making fake sparkly stuff. I have big czs in white metal but only ss did them with the clause. Also kirks folly.. anyway im interested in the clear one:) so give it a thought. Id reade no problem. Your sweet:))
taunyaarmstrong
@medievalblonde LOL! Who knew what we could learn from QVC & SS!! Hahaha! Thank you! I'll look! And thank you for your help!!! Really appreciate it! I never want to mislead. Being wrong is one thing, purposely misleading is another! I'm always happy to have people point things out to me! Only way I learn!
medievalblonde
