Stylish Antique Davidson 1890's Victorian Black Milk Glass Jug

AZ Set C- Stylish Antique Davidson 1890's Victorian Black Milk Glass Jug. George Davidson founded the Teams Flint Glass Works in 1867, and later became George Davidson & Co. In the 1880's the company began producing pressed glass tableware, such as milk glass, malachite/slag glass, and their famous Pearline range. In 1891, the factory was taken over by George Davidson's son, Thomas. During the 1920's they began producing their famous Cloud Glass range. In 1931, Davidson brought out an opaque green glass range called Jade. When Thomas Davidson died in 1937, his nephew Claude Fraser took over. In 1966, Davidson was taken over by Abrahams, and the glassworks renamed Brama Teams Glassworks closing in 1987. This is a wonderful Victorian moulded black Milk glass jug. Made by British company Davidson's in the 1890's, unmarked. In great condition, just a few nibbles at the edges of the base, shown in final picture 12cm at the widest point by 8.5cm tall. A stunning piece, which would make a great addition to any collection.
