Superb vintage ROOSTER mola by Guna Panama cutwork embroidered layered fabrics

Look at the tiny chain stitched on the roosters face!! This piece is so beautiful and detailed! Vintage and never used or displayed. Has been safely stored away with other textile tapestry sculptures of folk art. The Guna women hand made these animal motif pieces by cutting animal’s from the cotton fabrics and layering different colors then stitching by hand. This is in excellent condition with the white thread in the middle of the right foot being seen there intentionally. There are extra layers appliquéd from the top on the roosters tail feathers. There is an ink like circle on an elongated yellow line that looks as if in the cloth originally. Dark red background with dark green, black yellow and a few other colors. This would look lovely framed or added to a jacket or skirt. If the rooster is your mascot or logo or you raise them, you need to own this!!!
