Syracuse Restaurantware Plates

Two vintage white restaurantware luncheon plates with a laurel leaf pattern made by Syracuse China in the early sixties. Plates have an almost Grecian pattern around the rims, gold laurel leaves with a cubist line drawing. I can see these being used at one of the many Greek all night diners that are sprinkled along I 95 in New York and Connecticut. Both are in very good vintage condition. There are no breakage or crazing issues, but there are some light utensil marks. It appears that on the back, the gold leaf paint got away from whomever was doing the stamping. Each is marked Syracuse China 100-B USA. Each is 8 inches in diameter.
