It does make that crunchy sound when you pull the fabric (hopefully you understand that,lol). I don’t think it shrink much, maybe slightly on length (could wear as a tunic).I definitely think it would fit a XS-S still ( please see measurements to ensure a proper fit). It’s still a great dress with a lot of wear left.
