morgannepace Hello again! Sorry for the delay, I don't have exact measurements but I would love to look for a vintage calvin, Levi, or wrangler! I'm probably closer to a true 27 and I have a butt and am a little hippy which is why the Jordache jeans didn't work.

morgannepace To give you a better idea of what would fit me based off of that, they were the 26/27 Jordache jeans and they ended up being too tight in the hips and would not zip or close. I like something slimmer through the leg and high waisted. I love your stuff and would love to get some gorgeous vintage jeans from you!! kimipelli @abooth7777 I'm all over the place. In regular Levi's an 8. Jeans from forever 21 a six. Old navy 6-8. If memory serves the 501s sit higher so I'd rather go bigger than too small. They don't have Lycra like jeans have now. So I'd shoot for a 31 waist 29 length if possible or 32 waist 29 length.

U have a pair currently perfectly in your size with a longer inseam, they are cut offs but as they are longer rolling them up still keeps the length reasonable. I'll tag u and u can take a look. abooth7777 @amandamarino absolutely that's the best way to insure the best fit possible cuz vintage jeans are made and shaped differently. A good pic that shows ur body helps too:) measure natural waist. Bum, right around the center of ur bum. And upper thigh/saddle measure around the top of ur thighs right under ur female area.

freyat Hey! Do you know if there's any brand of vintage denim that has stretch to it? I'm worried that with most vintage denim having no stretch it squishes my butt flat!

abooth7777 @freyat hi there😀nah girl they started adding stretch into denim and it wears much faster cuz it's much thinner. And I promise you high waist vintage jeans make everyone's bum look fantastic, it doesn't squish it lifts and accentuates. Modern jeans have smaller low sitting pockets which makes ur bum look smaller, vintage jeans have large higher sitting pockets. They don't disappoint😀❤️❤️

abooth7777 @livepure hi there I'm happy to help😀. I go by waist measurement, it's the best way to insure a great fit. Most of my jeans have a natural waist fit but most 501s unless oversized/ boyfriend fit are going to but a higher mid rise fit. Do u know your natural waist measurement? And if u want a snug or boyfriend fit?

abooth7777 @livepure snug being tight fitting on waist bun and thighs then it tappers at your knees and ankle so not a skinny jean but they make ur bum look great. And boyfriend being looser fitting sitting lower down on your hips. Depending on what fit u want u either measure your natural waist or lower on hips about 3 inches below belly button. Easiest way if u don't have a garnet measuring tape is to use a ruler and measure straight across on a pair of pants u own that fit u the way u like😀.

Are u wanting a high natural waist snug fit, or a looser boyfriend fit? 501s across the board have an 11" rise, and straight leg, but everything else varies based on size, shrink to fit styles, and general shrinkage. Let me know what u ware wanting specifically and I will tag u on some great options!!

I don't want anything too snug that I can't eat a meal and still be comfortable but not really boyfriend either. I'd like something to fit "just right"---flattering waist and butt without being too tight or too loose. Is that descriptive enough? I found a bunch in your closet that I like--just not sure on sizing ❤️

shanallc @abooth7777 Unfortunately, I am in between sizes right now because I've started a new exercise program. I'm working towards get back down into an 8, possibly even smaller. I do know that I'll need the jeans to be in a Long. It might be a few months before I'm able to purchase them. Not sure how much weight I'll lose. Thanks for responding so quickly!! 😊

hillaryshouston @abooth7777 size is irrelevant as I am a collector and not looking for ones to wear. But selvedge is a must. Preferably Cone Mills but Japan selvedge is OK too! I have a brick and mortar shop "Hillary's of Houston Luxury Clothing and Vintage Boutiques" we did have a second shop called The Denim Exchange but we merged into one when we moved to a bigger location this summer.
