convintageous @ths76 I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon. 💞Are you eventually going to be able to again?

ths76 @convintageous well that’s a good question. I lost a inch of my femur in a catamaran accident I had when I was 40 in Hawaii. I am 63 now but since covid I have not been able to see my osteopathic Doctor who has done wonders for me.

convintageous @ths76 I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully, now that things are seemingly getting back to normal, you are able to see him again. What brands or types of shoes are best for you. I can see what I have. The adidas I just listed are great orthopedic shoes, but I have a lot of dressier day to day that are also good. As the population ages, orthopedic shoes are becoming more popular and designers are making them more fashionable

convintageous @ths76 I’m assuming you have inserts too. I have a friend who had a similar situation. Amazing person who’s adopted close to 30 desperately poor children in Columbia. They stay there with their mothers but he sends money, provides schooling etc. Sadly, the mothers don’t marry bc of the poverty. The first little girl he helped is now graduating nursing school, her mother was selling beer out of buckets on the Colombian streets when he met them

convintageous He was on his motorcycle and had to swerve, went over the median and they had to remove part of his femur. University of Maryland Trauma had access to a rare device that extends the remaining bone over time & thank God he is now able to walk again.

convintageous @ths76 please let me know your size and what styles brands etc you like and I will see what I have and also keep my eyes open for you too🙂 I am sorry that happened. You sound like a strong young lady who has not let it affect your positive attitude

convintageous @ths76 the other reason I mentioned my friends situation is that you may want to see what the University of Maryland used. At the time, they were one of only 2 places that had this particular medical device. So, it was created after your accident. This happened to him 4-5 years ago

ths76 @convintageous Dear Coroline, Wow just read your post. That is amazing story about your friend. Yes I too had to wear inserts and buy 2 pair of shoes to accommodate the insert. So I have a big box of shoes in my garage I have wondered what to do with.a bunch of them have been added on to from the outside also. So long Story short I never wanted to ask for help so

ths76 I would take a bag that was supposed to go to Goodwill and throw it. In the garage and say I will take it later. But there was always something more important to me to do then drive way out to our Goodwill. So long story short I have a to. Of items that I could put on Poshmark.

ths76 I am kinda stuck trying to post clothing items . It would be nice to use ad copy to show them. I have gone from 116 to 160 and back to 140 so you can imagine how many clothes are in there😳 it’s like a very organized horder😂 all my clothes are in suit cases. It will be like going back in time🧐.

ths76 But to Answer your question I wear mostly Ugg’s in my home and with 4 seasons I wear every thing from Sorrel Boots to flip flops. I like high fashion but the heel kills my back so Yes I look for comfortable fashion that rain won’t ruined if I get caught in it. I can wear a kitten heel, for a short period. I have long thin legs, but right now I am top heavy😉I can’t even say the word retired so I hope Poshmark will become my thing.

ths76 Until I have another surgery, I depend on my osteopathic Dr. I hope your friend continues to do well. I will look in to this. Thank you for your kindness and information. Cher @Ths76😊
