This pitcher is absolutely stunning. Extremely beautiful quality and condition by TONALA Mexican pottery. Signed initials, KE (Ken Edward), made in Mexico. Art pottery...very thick and sturdy. Wide base. Wide handle and spout. Gorgeous hand painted birds, butterflies and flowers. DIMENSIONS: 5" tall x 4" depth x 5 3/4" base. Stoneware Pitcher by Ken Edwards from the 1960's. Ken Edwards had a significant effect in the development of Stoneware in Mexico. Earthenware pottery in Mexico began in 2300-1500BC. Followed by Fine Stoneware that is relatively rare and is made by professionals. This authentic high fired ceramic creamer was made in Tonala, a city within the Guadalajara Metropolitan area in Jalisco, long recognized as a center for ceramics in Mexico.
