Extremely Rare, Vintage, Dimensional, 1960s, Sterling Silver over Pewter, Female Cameo Clip Earrings by TORTOLANI**. Measuring 1 1/4"x 1" x 3/16" deep, with secure and comfortable clip backs. This designer-signed piece is constructed of hand-poured and polished, matte and shiny pewter, overlaid with Sterling Silver. Featured is a detailed and dimensional, Greek Female Cameo with upswept curly hair, draped top with jewel embellishment, surrounded by a smooth and shiny frame. Dark coloring on crevices and reverse is typical of TORTOLANI'S plating process. Unique and rare, I have never seen another TORTOLANI earrings set, in this design, in my 40+ years of collecting.
