@crisrobin the strap itself is not elastic, just a tiny section on either side of the straps. I’ll upload another photo with that part zoomed in.

@crisrobin no buckle. The circle loop that connects the strap to the shoe is elastic. Elastic-y enough to put on, but then tight enough to stay put.
