I do not consider that spam and will appreciate your suggestions! This textile mural will be called “The Mermaid’s Lair” and it will be a one of a kind original completely hand crafted by me. I started with a reclaimed 30”x22” gallery framed canvas. Yes! You can hand sew through a canvas but you need really strong needle and thread and lots of patience! My inspiration piece is a tshirt I purchased in support of another posher showcasing a classic siren resting in her lair, perhaps contemplating her next conquest. I am building the coral reef by hand sewing reclaimed clothing, textiles, trims and bits of vintage and broken jewelry. Who knows what other treasures I will find to incorporate into the mermaid’s hidden lair?!
