Tapestry Wall Hanging Rug Mountain Steam Hippie Wall Décor Vintage 1960's-70's. 56"x38" (or approximately 4.5' x3' for reference). I think this is considered velour but I am not certain that it meets criteria to be called "velour". The image has been printed onto fabric. I am not sure if velour can be a printed fabric. This may just be felt. I welcome revision if anyone knows the true definition. No exact date of production or brand name is available for this very pleasant to look at vintage tapestry. These types of wall hangings were very common home decorations throughout the 1960's and 70's and even into the 80's. This particular one in in what I would like to call very good vintage condition. Flaws as I see them are, it was hung using push pins or similar devise. This has left small pinholes in comers that can be seen when viewed up close. The edge of the tapestry's stitching along the boarder has a few small flaws. It has no rips, holes, tears, or stains. Nice bright unfaded colors, featuring a large mountain with a stream/river running down from it through the pines. The edges of this 56"x38" wall decoration are framed by a floral paisley pattern. I have seen a few of these throughout my life and I personally feel this is one of the best condition ones I have ever seen. Please see the pictures for yourself and see if you feel the same.
